Endoscopy Technician (GI Tech) – Endoscopy Center

WHAT YOU WILL DO

\n
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopy equipment and accessories.
\n
• Maintain knowledge of infection control guidelines, aseptic techniques, and best practices.
\n
• Maintain knowledge of endoscopy equipment and accessories.
\n
• Follow center policies and procedures at all times.
\n
• Report equipment issues and malfunctions to the Director of Nursing.
\n
• Oversee the maintenance of the automatic cleaning system.
\n
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
\n
• Assist with procedure room setup and cleaning.
\n
• Maintain records and documentation as directed by the center.
\n
• Assist with patient transportation as needed.
\n
• Attend seminars, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
\n

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires extensive mobility, including walking and standing for extended periods.

• Requires occasional pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients and equipment.

• May be exposed to patients with communicable diseases.
\n
• May be exposed to hazardous equipment or agents.
\n
• Exposure to blood and body fluids (Category I).
\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
\n
• Good command of the English language.
\n
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, employees, patients, and the general public.
\n
• Must successfully complete a post-offer physical examination.
\n
